Leslie Benson, Research Analyst/Programmer, attended the NESUG (NorthEast SAS Users Group) Annual conference in Buffalo, New York, September 29-October 2, and was session chair for the Coder's Corner session focusing on programming tips.
Jennifer Darragh, data archivist, participated in a plenary session titled "Recent Developments in Data Access and Implications for Data Archives" at the International Association of Social Science Information Service and Technology conference in Storrs, CT in June, 2002.
Jim Detwiler, GIA consultant, attended the ESRI User Conference in San Diego in July, 2002.
William Harnish, writer/publicist, and Tara Murray, Information Core Director, attended the Population Association of America annual meeting in Atlanta, GA in May, 2002.
Tara Murray, Information Core Director, attended the 35th Annual Association for Population/Family Planning Libraries and Information Centers-International Conference in Atlanta, GA in May, 2002. She was elected to serve on the APLIC-I Board of Directors, class of 2005.
Tara Murray, Information Core Director, has been appointed Website Chair for the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Special Libraries Association.
Jason M. Smith, GIA-RA, attended the ICPSR summer course on Spatial Regression Analysis, partially supported by a 2002 Center for Spatially Integrated Social Science (CSISS) Scholarship, in August 2002.
Michelle Zeiders, GIS Analyst, successfully completed ESRI's Authorized Training Program for Authorized Instructors for "ArcGIS I" and "Migrating from ArcView."
