Students Sponsor 9th Annual Demography Student Methodology Workshop
The 9th Annual Demography Student Methodology Workshop, titled "Causal Inferences in the Social Sciences," was held July 22, 2002. Speakers included Dr. Michael Sobel (Columbia University), Dr. Paul Humphreys (University of Virginia), and Dr. George Farkas, professor of sociology, demography, and education.

Flora Nankhuni presented her research at the PRB Policy Communication Fellows Workshop at the member-initiated meetings at the 2002 PAA.
Tim Slack received a dissertation research award from the Rural Sociological Society to conduct a survey on economic strategies of low-income rural households.
