Jacinta Bronte-Tinkew (2000) was recently appointed senior research associate at Child Trends. Bronte-Tinkew is currently principal investigator on an NIH grant entitled "Measurement Properties of Fatherhood Measures," which examines the psychometric properties of the fatherhood measures in the ECLS-B, Early Head Start and Fragile Families surveys.

Susan Brown (1998) is associate professor, Department of Sociology, Bowling Green State University. Brown is principal investigator on two recent awards: "Children's Developmental Outcomes in Cohabiting Unions," K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development Award, NICHD, 2003-2008; and "Cohabitation and Union Transitions among Older Adults," R03, NIA, 2004-2006 (co-investigator Gary R. Lee).

Hiroko Hayama Dodge (1992) recently accepted a secondary appointment (assistant professor) in the Department of Biostatistics, University of Pittsburgh.

Gary Fuller (1972) recently retired from the University of Hawaii after 34 years on the faculty of the Population Studies Program. He was director of the Program from 1998-2004.

Sandra Hanson (1981) recently became chair of the Department of Sociology at Catholic University.

Melonie Heron (1999) recently accepted a position as statistician/demographer, National Center for Health Statistics, Mortality Statistics Branch.

Alexander Kofitse (1999) is senior economist, State of Massachusetts, Department of Telecommunications & Energy.

Marina Y. Nicolaeva (2001) is tenure professor of sociology, demography, research methods and environmental and political analysis, Universidad Privada Boliviana, Cochabamba, Bolivia, January 2002 - present, and academic director of the Graduate School, Universidad Privada Boliviana, February 2003 - present.

Ralph Sell (1977) is professor of sociology at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

Susan Singley (1999) is a research associate with the Social Science Research Centre at University of Canterbury and a fellow in the Department of Sociology, and runs a research firm, Singley Associates. In 2003, a research team led by Singley was awarded a 6-year, $5M grant from the Foundation for Research, Science, and Technology, New Zealand's primary science funding agency. The multi-disciplinary team of social scientists, public health researchers, and plant protection scientists research and develop methods to reduce environmental and human health risks from pesticides in horticulture.

Delore Zimmerman (1986), president of CEO Praxis, Inc. in Grand Forks and Fargo, North Dakota, has been named to lead the Coordinating Center of the Red River Valley Research Corridor. The Research Corridor will expand upon the research capacity of North Dakota's universities to help build and attract high-tech businesses for the region.
