Awards

Flora Nankhuni received first prize at the College of Agricultural Sciences research exhibition for her poster entitled "Investigating the Environment-Population Vicious Circle of Poverty: The Case of Africa and Malawi." This poster also won third prize in the Social and Behavioral Sciences category in Penn State's 18th Annual Graduate Exhibition.

Mira Hidajat received third prize in the Social and Behavioral Sciences category in Penn State's 18th Annual Graduate Exhibition for her poster, "Socio-Demographic Determinants of Comorbidity at the Time of Death in Four Asian American Groups."

Recent Appointments

Frank Avenilla has accepted a position as Social Science Analyst at the Center for Population Research, NICHD

Flora Nankhuni has been awarded a Population Council postdoctoral fellowship.

Qiuyan Wang has accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at RAND.
