Meejung Chin (2000) has accepted a position as assistant professor in the department of Child Development and Family Studies at the Seoul National University.
Sandra Hanson (1981) is Chair of the Department of Sociology at Catholic University. She recently received two research grants from the National Science Foundation. The first, "U.S.-Germany Cooperative Research - Perceptions of Fairness: Attitudes about Opportunity and Status Among Women Scientists in Germany and the U.S.," examines women scientists' views about opportunities for getting ahead in a comparative context. The second, "Combining New and Mature Data Collection Technologies to Better Understand Factors that Encourage and Discourage African American Women in Science, Math, Engineering, and Technology Education," will provide information on a wide array of science experiences and perceptions of factors that have encouraged or discouraged young African American women in science education at various points in the science education system.
