Five Students Selected as Population Policy Fellows
Five Penn State Demography Program international graduate students have been selected by the Population Reference Bureau (Washington, DC) to be Population Policy Fellows for the 2004-2005 cohort. The selected dual-Ph.D. students are: Tami Aritomi (HDFS and Demography candidate from Peru), Bina Gubhaju (Sociology and Demography candidate from Nepal), Mahmuda Khatun (Rural Sociology and Demography candidate from Bangladesh), Tom Owuor (Sociology and Demography candidate from Kenya), and William Sambisa (Rural Sociology and Demography candidate from Zimbabwe).
