Awards
Jeff Dew, dual-degree student in human development and family studies and demography, won an award for best poster in the "Family, marriage, households and unions" section at the 2007 meetings of the Population Association of America for his poster, "The Role of Student Debt, Consumer Debt, and Assets in Union Transitions during Early Adulthood."
Leila Rodriguez, dual-degree student in anthropology and demography, was awarded a Penn State Graduate Student Service Award for 2007 for her involvement in community outreach projects geared at helping underprivileged women in central Pennsylvania and in her native Costa Rica.
