On behalf of the entire association, the PAA Officers and Board of Directors extend their heartfelt thanks to V. Jeffery Evans for his outstanding service as PAA Secretary-Treasurer for the past three years. During his tenure, the PAA severed its ties with the American Sociological Association, got its own office, expanded its public affairs operation, regularized its office, and balanced its budget. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without Jeff's steady leadership and tireless efforts on behalf of the association. The PAA owes a great debt of thanks to Jeff for all he has done, and the Officers and Board wish him well as he steps down for a welldeserved respite from the responsibilities of this important office.
