The Sexuality Research Fellowship Program of the Social Science Research Council provides dissertation and postdoctoral support for social and behavioral research on sexuality. The program encourages researchers to formulate new questions, generate new theories and apply new methods in sexuality research. Only joint fellowship applications will be considered from the applicant and the research adviser or associate who will be responsible for providing a training experience for the Fellow. The Postdoctorate Fellow may be a recent recipient of the doctorate or up to 8 years post award. The Research Adviser/Associate co-applicant must hold a doctoral degree in one of the appropriate disciplines, demonstrate commitment to the training of the candidate, and demonstrate commitment to human sexuality research through past mentoring and/or research work. Post-doctoral Fellowship in Anthropological Demography at Indiana University. The department welcomes applications from demographers who are interested in participating in ongoing research on Emilio Moran's work on population and ecology; Richard Wilk's research on family decision-making in the trans-national household, and Nazif Shahrani's research on the Muslim populations of Central Asia and the Middle East. Population-Environment Fellows Program provides fellowships for individuals who have completed graduate degrees in areas related to population and environment. Fellows are placed in developing countries for two year assignments where they work in host agencies. Applicants are required to submit a formal application which is reviewed by the program advisory board. Successful applicants must have US citizenship or permanent resident status, hold a graduate degree in a relevant area and have course work or experience demonstrating both population and environment expertise. Applicants are encouraged to submit materials as soon as possible. The selection and placement process generally takes anywhere from 6 months to a year.
