Bowling Green State University is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in sociology/demography beginning August 1998. Research interests in all areas of population will be considered. However, preference will be given to candidates who can teach and advise graduate level students in the area of mortality.  Other areas of interest include, but are not limited to population and development; public health; and applied demography.  Assistant Professor preferred, but candidates at all levels will be considered. The Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) seeks a Senior Research Associate. AGI is an independent, non-profit corporation that conducts policy-relevant research on reproductive health issues in the United States and internationally. The Population Division of the U.S. Census Bureau has both immediate and long-term openings in its domestic and international programs for qualified individuals in the areas of demography, sociology, geography, related social sciences, and computer systems. The division covers a wide variety of programs including: Estimates and Projections of the Population, Administrative Records Research, Current Surveys (e.g., the Current Population Survey, the Survey of Income and Program Participation, the Survey of Program Dynamics), and the Decennial Census. The Department of Sociology, University of Maryland, College Park, invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Faculty Associate in the Center on Population, Gender, and Social Inequality. The Department of Population Studies, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, invites applications for visiting positions either at the postdoctoral or Senior Faculty level.
