Website for 1998 PAA Meetings
The 1998 PAA Program Committee has set up a website for
the 1998 annual meetings. The URL is http://www.rand.org/centers/population/PAA.98meeting.
The website contains information and important dates for submission of
abstracts, papers, and posters. Also included is the Annual Meeting Suggestion
Form (in html) which you can print out and submit by mail, in case you
have lost the copy which was mailed to you several weeks ago. Members are
urged to send in comments and suggestions before June 1. The required form
for PAA member-initiated meetings (see accompanying article) is also available
on the website. Other forms soon to be available on the website include
the membership application form, the meeting registration form, and the
hotel registration form.
In August, the Call for Papers and Posters and the submission
form will be up on the website. The submission form will also be mailed
with the Call for Papers. Please note that this year, ALL submissions to
session organizers must be accompanied by the submission form, or they
will not be considered for inclusion in the program. The submission forms
provide an essential means of tracking all submissions during the organizing
process. We are working on a mechanism to allow the submission form to
be sent to the organizers directly off the website for those who prefer
to do so. If you are interested in this alternative, check the website
in August.
