Working Groups

Adolescence and Young Adulthood

This working group, introduced in 2008, is headed by Derek Kreager. Its purpose is to bring together faculty with shared interests in adolescent social development, including relations with parents, peers, institutions, and romantic partners. The group convenes approximately monthly to discuss ongoing research projects, potential multi-disciplinary collaborative opportunities, and new research in the area. Meetings typically are organized around a pre-specified topic of common interest (e.g., delinquent peer relations, dating outcomes, parent-child communication, network methods, etc.) or individual presentations, with relevant reading materials provided prior to the meeting.
