Email Lists Policy

As you know there have been a number of changes in here in SSRI/PRI/SRC. In keeping up with these changes, a number of email lists have been added to the existing PRI lists. This is a good time to remind everyone of the proper use of these lists and to detail the lists that exist.

These email lists are to be used for professional announcements that would be of interest to the members of each list, university level announcements directed to members of a list, or upcoming departmental/center events. For example, if someone is giving a topical talk in demography, then sending the announcement to the PRI lists would be appropriate. Sending out a notice of extra football tickets or a yard sale notice are not appropriate uses of these lists. For those purposes, there are numerous lists available.
