Use the script utility. Simply type the word "script" and everything you type will be captured to a file called "typescript".

 A few notes about script:

      1. You must type "exit" to stop screen capture.
      2. You should do a dos2unix on the typescript file. 
      3. If this file includes your mistakes as well as the data you want, editing is in order.
