Supported Windows Software
This page contains a list of the software we support/install/distribute for PRI/SSRI and affiliates ONLY. Also listed is the licensing information regarding each program. Before you reference the table below, read and understand the following information:
Regarding "Free" Software
There are numerous programs in the list below that are freely available. However, understand that each program has its own EULA (End User License Agreement) that you need to agree to before installing. Software might be free for one person, but not for another. We cannot evaluate every situation. It is your responsibility to use the software within the legal boundary set forth by that program's EULA.
Regarding Penn State Site Licenses
Penn State faculty, staff, and students have numerous software packages available for their use. If you have a Penn State Access Account you can log into https://downloads.its.psu.edu and view the software available to you for immediate use. If a program is listed below as having a Penn State Site license, but not listed in your available downloads page, that doesn't mean you are inelligible. Some programs simply can't be distributed by download or may require you to sign a form.
Send a request to help@pop.psu.edu for further information on a specific program. Be sure to mention the program and any other relevant information.
Regarding Licenses Programs
Programs listed below as needing a license simply means you will need to purchase a license before we can install it. Send a request to help@pop.psu.edu for additional information, including pricing. Some companies provide educational discounts or we might have a pricing agreement, so we suggest contacting us before ordering a license.
